The fall-colored leaves are mostly off the trees, and Fargo’s air is a little crisper these days. You might start to think about nice warm sweaters, apple cider, pumpkins… and Halloween. Spookify your week with these Halloween Events.

Haunted Houses

There are multiple spots to get spooked in the Red River Valley.

Haunted Farm

Walk through the darkest and most dangerous woods in the FM area at the Haunted Farm.

Acres of Terror

Head to the maze of cornfields at Acres of Terror while a deranged bus driver gives you a spin. Each twist and turn is full of more hair-raising and spooky characters, sure to frighten you.

Tunnel of Terror: Tommy’s Express Car Wash

Head to any Tommy’s Car Wash location in town to witness the spooky, scary, shiny experience of a haunted car wash.

Pumpkin Patches & Corn Mazes

Weekends through October

Throughout Fargo, pumpkin patches and corn mazes pop up on weekends throughout October. Get your cozy fall outfits out, grab the kids, and head to one of them to take in all of those fun fall activities.

Lil Bitz Pumpkin Patch

Check out Lil Bitz Pumpkin Patch and Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch for a great fall experience for the whole family. Both have carriage rides, pick-your-own pumpkins, and many other family-friendly attractions.

Lost in the Valley & Dazed in the Maze

If you want to get “Lost in the Valley” head to the Red River Valley Fairgrounds for their corn maze. Also, they’re holding Dazed in the Maze events with local breweries, wineries, meaderies, and cideries to enjoy while you go through the maze.

Great Straw Maze

The Great Straw Maze is up for all to experience at the West Acres Mall. Travel through this maze with towering walls made of 1,500 large straw bales.

Paranormal Investigations

Spooky season wouldn’t be complete without hunting down some spirits. This year, there are two spots to investigate.

Bonanzaville

Visitors and volunteers alike have reported phenomena at Bonanzaville that cannot be easily explained. These tours will allow you to move beyond museum barriers in teams of 6 and discover for yourself. EMF detectors and voice boxes will be provided for each group. Attendees will also be permitted to bring in their own approved equipment.

Fargo Masonic Center

For another paranormal investigation option, check out the Masonic ghost family on a tour of the Fargo Masonic Building. Tours are two hours long and will occur in groups of 10.

Halloween Movie Nights & Live Events

Gather and see some classics like Hocus Pocus, The Blair Witch Project, and the main event, The Rocky Horror Picture Show at multiple spots around Fargo.

This Halloween, chills and thrills are coming to the big screen! Celebrate spooky season with Halloween at the Fargo Theatre! Tickets for each movie are only $7!

Square Scare

Family-friendly event with pumpkin painting & carving, costume parade, trick-or-treating, and more. Hocus Pocus will be on the big screen, so bring your blankets and chairs to watch and dress in your best costume for a fun afternoon downtown.

Trunk or Treat Events

Simplify your trick-or-treating by attending safe and easily navigable events at one of the truck-or-treat events in Fargo this fall.

Boo at the Zoo

Take the kids trick-or-treating early at the zoo for candy and treats from local vendors while they check out the animal exhibits.

Halloween Treat Street in West Fargo

Head to Sheyenne Street at The Yards in Downtown West Fargo for Halloween fun and trick-or-treating.

Trunk or Treat at Bonanzaville

A free Halloween event for the whole family at “Boo”nanzaville! Enjoy games and prizes, a “doughnut” walk with prizes, trunkers out in our village handing out candy, and much more from 2 – 5 p.m. on the Sunday before Halloween.

Monster Mash Trunk or Treat in Moorhead

Trick-or-treat through the Moorhead Center Mall parking ramp from 5-7 p.m. on October 31.
