FARGO—The Fargo Invaders opened their Northern Elite Football League season Saturday at Fargo Shanley’s Sid Cichy Stadium with a convincing 42-0 win over the Minnesota Mud Dawgs.
Concordia graduate Jon Baune caught seven passes for 115 yards and one touchdown. Kevin Irby caught three passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns.
Ja’Vonte Johnson completed 7 of 14 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns while Justan Taliaferro completed 6 of 12 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown.
Thaquan Preistly carried the ball three times for 46 yards and one touchdown. Josh Gatlin interception two passes, returning one for a touchdown.
