Fargo Invaders Open Season in a Big Way



The Fargo Invaders defeated the South Metro Patriots 42-0 in a regular season match up at Burnsville High School.

Offensively, the Invaders dominated the Patriot defense all night. Tony Stauss was able to light it up through the air going 8/12 with 107 yards and 1 touchdown. Justin Taliaferro shared time with Stauss and contributed 2 touchdowns of his own on 3/7 passing for 40 yards. The rush game was heavy in the second half after the Invaders were up 28-0. CT Davis led the rushing game with 3 touchdowns.

The Invader’s defense was all over the place completely shutting out the Patriots and holding them to only 50 yards of total offense. Steven Othelot had an interception on the night along with David Earl and Vince Holmes. Jeremy Gordon led with 2 sacks, followed by Matt Edwards with 1.

The Invaders next game will be the Home Opener against the West Central Broncos on May 14th, at Shanley High School.
