SABERCATS ONLY TEAM TO SCORE ON INVADERS

The Invaders are heavy favorites to win the title, after only giving up 18 points all year.  Those 18 points were all given up to the Sabercats though, who will look to end this historic run.

May 21: Sabercats (3) @ Invaders (46) – Story
July 9: Invaders (68) @ Sabercats (15) – Story

The first game in Fargo the Invaders scored a pair of TD’s in each of the first 3 quarters, with CT Davis collecting all 3 of his rushing TD’s in the 1st Half.  Though the Sabercats notched a Field Goal, the Invader defense held the ‘Cats to just 90 yards of total offense.

In the cities, Fargo scored 3 times in each of the 1st two Quarters while adding a pair of TD’s in each of the 3rd & 4th Quarters.  The Sabercats scored two TD’s in the 2nd Quarter to make things interesting.  In total the Invader backfield racked up 253 yards rushing with a total of 4 touchdowns, while Justan Taliaferro added 4 TD’s through the air.  The Sabercats got a 76 yard receiving TD from Andre Sims, who also had a 5 yard score.  With the quick strike TD, it got the Sabercat offense to 177 total yards which is the most all season against the Invaders.  Only one other team has gained more than 90 yards on the Invaders this season.

The determining factor will be on defense; can the Sabercats hold this high powered offense to less than 21, will the Invaders near-month off cost their defense to get out of sync.  All signs point to a perfect storm for the Sabercats.
