Most businesses are open, however, Visit Fargo-Moorhead continues to monitor the Coronavirus Pandemic and the impact it has on those planning to visit the Fargo metro area.

The Coronavirus pandemic is a quickly evolving situation and the best resource for the most up-to-date information is the CDC website.

WHAT’S OPEN?

North Dakota

* Know before you go. While North Dakota does not mandate the use of masks, many private businesses require mask use when social distancing cannot be achieved.

Minnesota

* Know before you go. Although Minnesota does not mandate the use of masks, many private businesses require mask use when social distancing cannot be achieved.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Most bars and restaurants in Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo are open with no restrictions. Check with individual restaurants and bars for mask requirements and current hours.

EVENTS

When planning or attending an event during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the CDC recommends these behaviors to reduce spread:

Stay home when appropriate: If you are feeling ill, have a temperature, or have knowingly come in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19, please stay home.

Physical/social distancing: Stay at least 6-feet away from people outside of your household and avoid physical contact (handshakes, hugs, etc.).

Masks: Although masks are not required in either Minnesota or North Dakota, many events are encouraging to at least have them on hand so you can be protected in a variety of situations.

TRAVELER INFORMATION

Travelers to Fargo-Moorhead and all destinations should continue to observe the health recommendations of national and local public health officials, if they plan to travel, when they travel, and when they are visiting any destination.

If you decide to travel, be sure to practice all precautions given by the CDC to prevent getting and spreading COVID-19 .

Domestic Travel to North Dakota

For vaccinated travelers:

During travel: Wear a mask over your nose and mouth while traveling on public transportation such as planes, trains, and buses and follow local state regulations.

After travel: Self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms. Isolate and get tested if symptoms develop.

For non-vaccinated travelers:

Consider postponing your travels until you are able to be fully vaccinated. If you must travel, follow the CDC’s guidance to safe travel practices.
