Kroll’s Diner

Perhaps the most quintessential diner in Fargo, Kroll’s is a 50s-style restaurant serving up German and American dishes. If you’re going to try something distinctly local, this is the spot to do it. To start your authentic meal, get a bowl of homemade knoephla soup – a classic dumpling-esque soup made by locals with German heritage. For the main, go for fleischkuechle, a patty of seasoned ground beef wrapped in pastry and deep-fried. To finish the meal, grab a slice of kuchen, a traditional German fruit and custard-filled pastry. Besides these favorites, they’ve got an extensive breakfast menu (as any diner should), burgers and sandwiches, wraps, and delicious shakes and malts.
