Canoe & Kayak Rentals at Hjemkomst Landing
Location
The Rental Shack is in the parking lot of the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Avenue North in Moorhead.
Hours of Operation
May 30th - September 9th (subject to change depending on river and weather conditions.)
• Tuesday, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Sundays, Noon - 6:00 p.m.
Rentals
Single and tandem kayaks and canoes are available on a first come first serve basis. Rentals include paddles and personal flotation devices, which must be worn at all times.
Group paddling rentals are available for parties of five or more. Reservations must be made for at least 2 hours or a $100 minimum rental fee. Group rentals are not available during regular rental hours (see above) and are dependent on staff availability. Reservations must be made at least 14 business days in advance by calling 218.299.5078.
Cost
Rent a canoe or kayak for $10/hour/vessel. After the first hour, the rate is prorated depending on how long the vessel is out on the water.
*Vessel rentals are for use at Hjemkomst Landing only.
